The model depicts a situation of incipient but unbelievable danger.
'STONK' MODEL SPONSON, EX-MILITARY BINOCULARS AND ON ART SERVICE BADGE

The window looks out towards a WWI tank memorial; its sponson and gun is missing. The binoculars enable the viewer to see the memorial clearly. The badge mimics the On War Service badges worn by people engaged in essential war work rather than being on active service with the military.
